Projects

1. International on-line youth magazine
The magazine will be the collection of works (essays, photos, videos, etc.) of young journalists from different countries on a given topic.
Duration: the entire year
Budget: $12,000

2. "The Children Living Around You" book-photo album
Short description: Portraits, literary and scientific materials of children of different social background and different destinies, which will help draw public's attention to children and their issues. This project will combine both the efforts of our students and professional journalists and people of different professions.
Duration: 10 months

3. "Children's Planet" almanac
Duration: 10 months
Budget: $12,000

4. "Palette" cultural magazine
Duration: 10 months
Budget: $4,000

5. Publication of James Barry's "Peter Pan" using the illustrations of one of the Center's students.
Number of copies: 2000
Duration: 7 months
Budget: $7,000


6. Calendar
Short description: Wall and table calendars will be published with photos taken by our students. The topic of the wall calendar will be "Smile" or "Game", the table calendar's topic will be "The Young and The Old". One thousand copies of each type of calendar will be published and distributed to the Center’s sponsors and will serve an image-and-fund raising tool both for "Manana" center.

7. "My Likes and Dislikes"
Short description: Two-to-three-minute animation film about the preferences of children.
Duration: 3 months

8. Musical animation clip based on a young artist's song (3-4 minutes long).
Duration: 4 months

9. Series of short funny animation sketches united by a single hero or topic.
Duration: 4 months
Budget: $1,200

10. "My Armenia"
Short description: Series of documentary and fiction novels about Armenia: 7 films, each 10-15 minutes long.
Duration: The entire year

11. "Grandparents and Grandchildren"
Short description: Series of documentaries and portraits of very old people made by children: 10 films each 10 minutes long.
Duration: The entire year

12. Titles
Short description: Series of short experimental films, which will each have the title of a famous work: 7-12 film, each 1-10 minutes long.

13. "Tailless Fox"
Short description: A documentary film (40-50 minutes long) about a young handicapped person, who is very active and joyful, who makes animation films and works with schoolchildren despite being stuck to the wheelchair.
Duration: 4 months

14. "The World of Adults"
Short description: Novel series about how children see the world of adults: Seven 4-10 minutes long films.
Duration: The entire year
Budget: $7,000

15. Mobile summer schools in regions (marzes)
Short description: The Center staff will organize summer classes for the children from the various regions of Armenia. There will be three classes each day for 10 days.
Duration: July-August 2008

16. Production of presentation multimedia CD or DVD featuring the activities of the center.
Duration: 9 months

17. Presentation at the end of the year: Manana days in Yerevan
Short description: The presentation of the Center's activities and achievements in 2008 to the public.
