Tracing Europe: photo contest02 Dec 2006"Manana" Youth Educational-Cultural Center took part in the photo contest "Tracing Europe" which invited young photographers to send images uncovering Europe from different angles. The "tracing europe photo contest" is a project realized by young people from the association "Jugend bewegt Europa e.V." The association was founded in 2002 as a forum for projects which revolve around the integration of Europe. By realizing multiple projects, "Jugend bewegt Europa e.V." wants to contribute to the formation of a common European identity and to highlight the fascinating diversity of Europe . A selection of all contributions will be presented in an exhibition taking place from November 18th to December 9th in a Berlin Gallery. During the opening days (18th/19th November) visitors will help to elect the winners of the photo contest. The three winners of the voting will be invited to Berlin on the closing day of the exhibition, 9th December 2006 . The best 12 photographs will be published in a sheet almanac for the year 2007. Tatevik Mkrtchyan, a young photographer from "Manana" center, has succeeded in entering the calendar, which will accompany many people through the year 2007 and inspire them. http://www.tracing-europe.de/index.php?lang=en.htm ![]() |
