Manana Center in Animation Workshop in France23 Aug 2010Citrus association the regional delegation of Solidarites Jeunesses has organised a three week workshop for teenagers from four countries: Armenia, Serbia, France and Italy. Armenia is presented by Manana Center's animation students. The workshop is conducted in a little village of Massat right in the middle of the Natural Park of the Mid-Pyrenees. The workshop has two dimensions. Firstly, it concentrates on the environmental issues of the four participant countries. Each delegation presents the environmental problems of its country and then compares those with the problems of France. Secondly, and most importantly, the workshop aims to create an animation movie based on national tales of the four participant countries, putting accent on the environment and its importance. At the end of active discussions, brainstorming and arguments, the delegations came up with a one holistic script which is full of humor and national elements from each country. The Armenian delegation is well prepared as they all have animation skills from Manana, however the paper-cut technique is new for them and they all have a lot to learn and discover during the workshop camp. Alongside with the animation camp, the teenagers also have to organise their daily routine, food and leisure activities. This is a great experience for them to discover a little part of france as well as experience a true exchange between cultures and nations. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
